Owens River Beast

Caught her this past Saturday on a Kistler Helium 3, 7’6 Heavy Action rod with 15 Pound Fluorocarbon Line on my Daiwa Tatual and a Revenge Baits jig. She weighed in at 7.6 according to my digital scale. Just for reference, I’m 6’2, 250 pounds and held her close to my body for the picture.

While she is not huge for California standards I got her out of the Owens River in the Sierras and she is a TANK for the area being a Northern Strain bass.

Weighed her, took her picture and watched her swim away to fight another day.
