Personally, I think you were in the right. You patiently waited 1/2 hour for your turn amd tied up to the end of the dock as to not block others. If you were parked in the parking lot instead of right next to the ramp and passed everyone waiting in line, that would have been a different story. I would have thought by quickly pulling your boat out you cleared up room for others to launch or recover.

Hope that helps some.

Today I had an interesting experience at the boat launch. I need to know if I was in the wrong. If I was, I wont do it again. After a day of fishing, I returned to the launch site that has two ramps. It was very busy with people trying to get on the water and other that were trying to get boats out. I sat and idled away from the dock so the others that were before me could go first. It was about half an hour because people were launching boats one after another while we waited. When I finally got my opportunity to get to the dock, I tied up at the end so I wouldnt be in the way of others and went to get my truck. I was parked right next to the launch so I pulled out and waited for the ramp to clear from another boater that was launching. That's when a guy from the line that was formed to launch boats got on my case because I didnt drive arount the parking lot to get behind the long line of boats waiting to be launched. Was I wrong or should I have gone around to the end of the line of people waiting to launch? I felt that I had already waited my turn sitting out on the water while others had launched.
